We booked a hotel with a swimming pool that was where we were looking for. The second day we would take a relaxing day so we went to the pool, when we arrived we saw the pool was empty and out of order for 6 till 8 weeks.
We did book for 5 nights, but after 3 night we have left the hotel, we were very disapointed.
The breakfast was good if you came early, after 9.00 am it was very poor than we had to eat the things what was left. |

We had a lovely week in the Aana resort. However there were one or two small improvements we would have liked. We would like to have had hotel/local information packs in the room. We would have liked to have had cards for hanging on the door for 'do not disturb'/'please make up my room'. These are things that you take for granted in any hotel.
Otherwise the hotel and staff were superb, we loved punting down the river to the beach, we loved the view from the restaurant, we loved our big clean bedroom with large bed, refridgerator etc. Especially we loved swimming pool which we had to ourselves nearly all the time! |

All of the hotels that were part of our tour far exceeded our expectations and were excellent, except for the Mandalay Swan Hotel in Mandalay. Our complaint regarding the Mandalay Swan was that it wasn't very clean. Cleanliness is important to us. The staff and service were great. |

Location not good - 1.5km from town on the airport road. The restaurant was poor so we were left with little alternative other than taking taxis into town and trying to find decent restaurants. Air conditioning not adjustable for temperature and it was not effective. Level of English spoken by the staff was poor. Tea making facilities provided -except for a means to generate hot water - we asked for a kettle of jug of hot water but none appeared. No point in providing tea and coffee items. Menu limited to about 8 choices - rice or noodles. Restaurant was either empty or full of coach parties and was not used by anyone from outside.
Cambodiana - Phnom Penh.
Seemed to be a very high standard but as we were there from late evening until 06.00hrs we did not use the restaurant or any other facility. |
