Transportation:

By car: Take the Route 35, and then change to the Route 4, passing Petchburi, Prachuabkhirikhan and Chumporn before taking the Route 41 to reach Suratthani. The total distance is 685 kilometers.

By bus: Buses leave daily at Bangkok's Southern Bus Terminal, you will be brought directly to Suratthani, excluding ferry fee. The journey takes about 11 hours.

By plane: Flights of Bangkok Airways leave daily from Bangkok, it takes only one hour and 20 minutes.

By train: From Hua Lamphong station, you have to drop at Phun Phin station in Suratthani before taking a local bus to Don Sak port to take a ferry or a speed boat to Koh Samui.

Getting around the island
The official yellow and red taxi service runs around the island all day until 21:00 pm. There are plenty of car and motorcycle rentals around the island as well.
