There are 26 atolls in the Maldives. They stretch from 600 km southwest of Sri Lanka across the Equator, covering an area of the Indian Ocean the size of Portugal or the US state of Maine. Of 1190 islands, just 200 are inhabited while an additional 90 have been transformed into resorts.

One & Only Reethi Rah is unusual in that it is spectacularly designed in an octopus shape with an extraordinary 6 km of coastline.
