The Kuramathi Blue Lagoon offers a choice of either 20 water bungalows or 30 standard rooms, all fully air conditioned, and with tea and coffee making facilities, and piped music. There are also mini bars in all the rooms. The rooms are designed to be comfortable and relaxing, and we' re sure that you' ll enjoy every second of your stay.
These rooms nestle among the vegetation like a row of little cottages, and are reached by a path bordered with flowers. All the bungalows overlook a stretch of beach, and the vegetation of this garden island, which surrounds these rooms, promises complete privacy. A little veranda outside the rooms, set with chairs and coffee table, provides a place to sit and take things easy between all the other activities on offer.
The interior of the standard rooms have cool tiled floors and half timbered walls that create a natural effect. A ceiling fan spins overhead adding a welcome breeze. The cane furniture-bed, side tables and lounge furniture-all with floral print covers to add to the tropical island feel and complete the room's d?cor. An elegant arch leads into a dressing area, and the bathroom, which is fully equipped with bath, shower, WC and washbasin. At the back of the rooms is a half secluded tiled shower area where you can wash off after a day on the beach, or diving at the reef.
These spacious and luxurious wooden water bungalows, reached by a wooden walkway and built in units of two or four, are set out over the lagoon, and afford the most glorious views out to sea. On the ocean side, large French windows lead out on to a veranda with coffee table and deck chairs, and you only have to take a few steps down a wooden stairway to find yourself right in the sea.
The interiors of the water bungalows have polished parquet floors with a woven mat, creating a homely touch. A huge rattan bed with print bedspread, side tables, dressing table and writing desk, as well as a big wardrobe, complete the decor. A fully equipped bathroom leads off to one side, and has a walk in shower, enclosed WC and a large vanity unit with wash basin.
