Beyond the outskirts of Georgetown, follow the winding and mountainous road for 74 km to witness the beautiful waterfront which Penang is famous for. The tour includes a visit to a cottage industry to witness the actual process of batik making, a stop by a fruit stall and depart to the famed Snake Temple, built in 1850, and dedicated to the deity Chor Soo Kong. The name 'Snake Temple' is derived from the fact that it is a sanctuary for pit-vipers which are said to be 'servants' of the deity.
