Hilton Batang Ai (River Safari)

It is one of the last few unspoiled places in Sarawak, and is situated 266 kilometers from Kuching.

2 days / 1 night:

Day 01
Depart Kuching in the morning by road to Serian and thereafter, have a lunch at local restaurant. Next, proceed to Batang Ai Hydro Dam where thrilling boat ride begins, crossing the man-made lake before reaching the Engkari River. Upon arrival at the riverbank of the longhouse, take a short 5 minute plank walk leading to the Ugat Sea Dayak Longhouse. Experience the colorful sight and sounds of the longhouse where large families live under one roof peacefully. Spend the night in the longhouse with the natives. Witness the traditional "Ngajat" or War Dance and try the "tuak" (a potent rice wine). Overnight at the Hilton Batang Ai Resort.

Next Day
After early breakfast, depart for a jungle walk with an Iban man who will also demonstrate his blowpipe skills. A dip in the cool river is possible. Towards the late morning, go back down the river for your journey back to Kuching.
