Day 01
Depart Kuala Lumpur for your journey up north. En route, stop at the Forest Research Institute of Malaysia (FRIM) and experience a short trek on one of their scenic little challenging trails. Then, drive through a typical Malay countryside village and visit
Tempurong Cave, located about 25km on the old trunk road to KL just after Gopeng town, this cave was created with the flow of a stream, you are able to walk though the whole length of the cave (return) in about 4hrs. Arrive in Ipoh and have the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at Heritage Hotel.
Day 02
Depart for Banding early next morning. En route visit the royal town of
Kuala Kangsar. Continue your journey passing by paddy fields, lakes, plantations, villages and quaint towns. Arrive in the afternoon. Overnight at Banding Island Resort.
Day 03
After breakfast, proceed on to Kampung Chiong on a 90-minute boat ride. The 14,164-hectare lake has dead trees and branches rising from its depth, giving you a scene of mystery. The nomadic tribe of the
Jahais lives in huts made of simple materials such as bamboo and palm leaves. Trek through a jungle before reaching an idyllic spot by a gushing stream of cool refreshing waters. Have a packed lunch before returning in the late afternoon. Evening is at leisure.
Day 04
Return to Kuala Lumpur.
