Central Malaysia
 
Located in the mid-way on the western flank of Peninsular Malaysia, the Central Region consists of the federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur and the States of Selangor and Negeri Sembilan. The new state-of-the-art KL International Airport (KLIA), located at Sepang in Selangor serves as the main gateway fro visitors to Malaysia. With an excellent transportation network, the central region is a great place to start your holiday, and take off to explore the rest of the country.

Starting in Kuala Lumpur only, there is a wide array of attractions to feast the eye. Kuala Lumpur serves as the pulse of the central region being the hub of commerce, government, tourism and transport. It offers visitors a myriad of experiences ranging from its colorful downtown streets to the cacophony of its numerous bazaars and the cool refreshing greenery of its parks and gardens. The city is also a paradise of shoppers due to its gamut of goods and handicrafts. Variety of excellent cuisines can be tasted in Kuala Lumpur as well.

The most progressive state of Malaysia, Selangor represents the scene of energetic life. Northern Malaysia
 
The northern region of Peninsular Malaysia boasts of rich history and culture and the visitor will find a multitude of interesting places to visit-idyllic islands, beaches, plantations, rainforests, hill resorts and ancient historical sites.

Once famed as the tin capital of the world, Perak beckons with its colorful history, scenic limestone hills, mysterious cave temples and enchanting island resorts. Penang, the first British outpost in Southeast Asia, is a favorite holiday destination for international travelers. This picturesque island combines the best of the east and west, while retaining its old-world flavor.

 
 
Southern Malaysia
 

The southern region of Peninsular Malaysia consists of the states of Melaka and Johor. Both possess their own unique charms and appeal; the former being renowned for its rich historical heritage whilst the latter is reputed of its wealth of natural attractions and as a shopping destination.

Melaka endows its rich history as it was once the great trading emporiums in the East, attracting traders from the Middle East, India, China, many other parts of the world. Ruled by the Portuguese, Dutch and British, the city of Melaka is painted with traces of diverse cultural heritage such as its fascinating colonial buildings and other monuments.

Owing to its long coastlines bordering both the Straits of Melaka and the South China Sea, Johor offers numerous islands, pristine recreational forest, waterfalls, and vast agricultural plantations, a paradise for those who love outdoor activities.
