For all of us who dream of living in a tropical
paradise, Mother Nature has created a unique place in the south of Thailand,
Cape Phra Nang in Krabi, location of the Rayavadee Premier Resort.
Nature endowed the land with lush vegetation, surrounded by sheer rock
formations climbing hundreds of feet height. The headland is a hidden place, a
charming peninsula with three beaches. One of them, Phra Nang Beach ranks among
the world's most beautiful with its fine white sand and crystal clear water. The
seascape offers a group of dramatically shaped rock islands bathed in a
turquoise sea.
Rainforest vegetation with wild monkeys and
exotic birdlife extend from one end of the pristine beach to the other. As a
backdrop, the amazing rock towers of the cape stand like sentinels on guard, one
of them with majestic Phra Nang cave at its foot.
Legend has it that the spirit of a princess called Phra Nang resides in the
cave's heavenly environment. Indeed, it is said to be her headland.
At Cape Phra Nang you will find the Rayavadee , a
refreshing alternative to other developed hotels. If you escape to this
sanctuary you can live truly at leisure among nature without sacrificing the
comfort of luxury.
Surrounded by several hundred hectares of marine national park, the Rayavadee is
the perfect hideaway, a place where you can spend your days in active or passive
recreation and your nights partying until sleep makes its belated call.
The resort offers a choice of 100 deluxe
pavilions and villas, all of them built discreetly among 20 acres of mature
coconut plantation, adjacent to three beaches. The spectacular swimming pool is
located beside Railay Beach, known for its bold sunsets.
In the privacy of the resort you can relax in your own pavilion, built as a
delightful hexagonal-shaped cottage
among the trees. The unique shape of the pavilions allowed that no trees were
cut during construction. The Association of Siamese Architects, under Royal
Patronage, presented Rayavadee the Royal Gold Medal Award for environmental
conscious architectural development in 1994.
Recently, The Tourism Authority of Thailand also gave the Award of Excellence
1996 for the Best Tourist Accommodation in the Southern Region, and in addition,
the Asean Association for Planning and Housing, honored the Rayavadee with the
Excellence Award 1996 for the Best Resort Hotel Project in South East Asia.
