Koh
Chang Thailand is a Leisure Island
least known to foreigners. Situated to the east
of the country in the province of Trat on the
Cambodian border, it’s Thailand’s second largest
island after Phuket. The name means Elephant
Island. Koh Chang was named for the elephant
shape of its headland, although elephants are
not indigenous to the island.
Koh Chang island of
Thailand, boasts several amazing natural wonders
like undisturbed island rainforest, steep hills,
cliffs, waterfalls, notable wildlife, fine
beaches, coral reefs, and an abundance of marine
life. Koh Chang offers many other attractions
including waterfalls, temples, and the National
Park and Museum. There are plenty of activities
to be organized like snorkelling and diving
trips to nearby coral reefs, jungle treks, and
elephant rides.
Accommodation on the island ranges
from simple beach huts and bungalows to suites,
apartments, luxury villas and boutique resorts.
