Chennai, also known as Madras, is the capital of the southern state of Tamil Nadu and is India’s fourth largest city located on the Coromandel Coast of Bay of Bengal. It is a large commercial and industrial center that co-exists with its famous cultural heritage and Hindu temple architecture. It is the lifeline of south Indian classical music and dance performances. Apart from the cultural aspect, Chennai is considered the automobile capital of India with a major portion of the nation’s vehicles being produced here. Chennai has also become a huge center for outsourced jobs from western countries. For its natural aspect, Chennai boasts the 12-kilometer long Marina Beach that forms the city’s east coast and is believe as one of the longest beaches in the world while housing a national park, the Guindy National Park within its city limits.
