Started in 1947 as The Kenilworth Guest House by Mr. H Madath covering 42 rooms and two bungalows, the hotel in Kolkata has now grown to a 105 room 4 Star Deluxe Hotel under the present management who have nurtured it since 1967. Till the 1980s, the majority of the patrons of The Kenilworth were foreigners and expatriates including guests of foreign consulates, celebrity jockeys from England, renowned writers and professionals.
