Statue of Five Goats |
|
|
A herd of Five Goats is the Guangzhou city's symbol. The legend has it that five celestial beings had descended on the back of five goats into the region of Guangzhou and gave the people bundles of rice to promise the region's fertility and prosperity.

Zhen Hai Lou |
|
|
Zhen Hai Lou was built during the Ming Dynasty as a five-story tower located at the hilltop of Yue Xiu Park. This is one of the oldest edifices of Guangzhou which was originally used as a watch tower. Nowadays it has become a museum showcasing Han porcelains, artifacts and treasures.

This largest park of Guangzhou is home to the Statue of the Five Goats statue and Zhen Hai Lou. It's situated on the Yue Xiu Mountain as well as six other minor mountains. Besides the beautiful views the park offers, there are other famous edifices such as the Five Rams Statue, the River View Pagoda of Ming Dynasty, the Tomb of King Nanyue of Eastern Han, and the Cannons of Ching Dynasty.

Sun Yat-Sen's Memorial Hall |

This memorial hall is established in honor of Dr Sun Yat-Sen who is revered as the "Father of China". The building is in the form of octagonal theater in the center of a garden.

Six Banyan Tree Temple (Lou Ron Si) |

This remarkable Buddhist temple was built in 479 S.D. on an octagonal base. The temple actually has 17 stories inside but appear to have only 7 stories when viewed from the outside. It also houses the famous Sakyamuni statue which was given as a gift from the Thai government since 1985.

This shrine of the Chan family comprised of numerous inner traditional buildings, courtyards, stone carvings, sculptures and the impressive roof ridges embellished with figures of deities and colorful interpretations of operatic tales.

Foreign merchants had built and established a foreign enclave on this area in the mid 1850s, and it has become an intriguing colonial village where you can see the worn-out colonial buildings of classical European styles.

Mausoleum of 72 Martyrs |

|
This monument is erected to commemorate those killed in Dr Sun Yat-Sen's failed uprising against the Ching Dynasty in 1911. It manifests an amalgamation of Eastern and Western architectural styles with the fund provided by the overseas Chinese.

Qingping Free Market |
|
|
The Qingping Free Market is situated near the north side of Sha Main, and is the largest and most famous free market. Every type of goods can be found and purchased here, including fake brand-named products.

Museum of Southern Yue |
|
|
This museum is also known as the Museum of the Western Han Dynasty of the Southern Yue King's Tomb. It was established by one of the Generals following the fall of the Qin Dynasty to establish the "Yue" kingdom and declared Guangzhou as his capital.
