Minzu Hotel Beijing was built in 1959 on the First Street in China-the Chang-An Street in the center of Beijing. Forty years later, the elegant ambience still sets Minzu apart from the rest of newer hotel buildings in Beijing.
Minzu Hotel Beijing has created a collection of works by renowned Chinese artists. Many foreign dignitaries graced Minzu with their presence, among those are President Nixon of the U.S., Prime Minister Kakuei Tanaka of Japan, Prime Minister of New Zealand, Prime Minister Kwun Yew Lee of Singapore, President Ford of U.S., Secretary of the State Henry Kessinger of U.S., President Bush of U.S. We also recently hosted the press conference for the Fourth International Women' s Conference. Minzu Hotel grew with China and witnessed history on many occasions. At the dawn of the new millenium, we are well posed to greet the new age with our up-to-date facilities and services.
