BURMA BORDER CROSSING AND MAE KONG RIVER
Upon picking you up at the hotel, cross the Sai River into
Myanmar and witness local Burmese life in nearby village. Rickshaw awaits
here to take you to explore a Shan-style temple, which is the home for young
novice monks; then ride around the town through lanes and side streets of Tachilek
and end at a local market for shopping. Continue further to the the Golden
Triangle which is well-known as the centre for opium trade. From here view
the splendor of the mighty Mae Kong River joining the Ruak and forming the
"triangle" with Laos, Burma and Thailand. Transfer back to your hotel.
