About Trekking

Treks start at a minimum of two days and generally involve a drive of between 2-4 hours from Chiang Mai city. Trekking then begins with the jungle paths leading to forested mountains. Walking times vary between 4-8 hours according to trek chosen. Less walking is required on the days of elephant rides or bamboo river rafting. Most treks are suitable for all age groups but we advise against taking children under six. We have had people of over seventy enjoy this healthy pursuit. Nights are spent at the tribal villages in bamboo style huts.
