Southern Thailand boats for its diversity of natural resources; be it lovely beaches and seas or the fertile forests. This tour will take you back in to one the most abundant forest in southern Thailand, Khao Sok National Park. With the adventurous activities, including trekking, elephant-riding, and canoeing. You will have an opportunity to admire a variety of vegetations and species of wildlife.

Itinerary

Day 1: Phuket - Khao Sok National Park (L-D)
Early morning pick up at your hotel on Phuket Island. Travel north through Phang Nga province to Khao Sok National Park. Stop at Takuapa and short stroll on the road with its old Chinese style shop houses. Continue to Khao Sok and check in at Khao Sok Riverside Cottage, after lunch trek on an elephant back into the jungle to see a variety of tropical vegetarian about 2 hours. Late afternoon you have time to explore the surroundings together with guide or take on the river in an inflated tire. Dinner and overnight at the resort.

Day 2: Khao Sok National Park (B/L/D)
After breakfast, canoe trip down the Sok River - the canoes are inflatable with a person to paddle for you, life jackets are provided. You will pass towering limestone mountains and cliffs covered with exotic jungle vegetation. Reptiles and birds live along the riverbanks, gibbons, monkeys, and hornbills inhabit the mountains. After canoe trip, lunch will be served at local restaurant. In the afternoon jungle trek through the National Park. Dinner and overnight at Khao Sok Riverside Cottage.

Day 3: Khao Sok - Cheo Larn Lake (B/L/D)
Breakfast at the resort, transfer to Cheo Larn Lake, situated in the center of Khao Sok National Park. Take a local long-tailed boat across the lake and swim in a beautiful lagoon before continuing to the floating raft house bungalow. Take off by boat again to explore the lake and trek to a mountain view point with panoramic views over the lake. A packed lunch is provided en route. Return to the floating bungalows later in the afternoon with free time to swim in the lake or simply relax and take in the stunning scenery.

Accommodation is in very basic bungalows (no attached bathroom), but the scenery and natural beauty are superb and will compensate you for the lack of comfort. Dinner and stay overnight on the floating raft house.

Day 4: Cheo Larn Lake - Krabi (B/L/D)
Breakfast at raft house, transfer by boat across the lake by long-tailed boatand drive to Krabi province. Explore caves, where pre-historic men lived over 3000 years ago and numerous paintings can be seen on the wall. After lunch at a seafood restaurant, continue to Than Boke Koranee forest park, where a river flows from a cave and the area is ringed by limestone cliffs. A stop is made on Ao Nang Beach in Krabi before checking in at your hotel in Krabi town> Dinner will be served at a riverside restaurant in town you will have the chance to sample some of the local night life.

Day 5: Krabi - Phuket (B/L)
Breakfast, depart to explore Krabi by Land Rover. The first stop will be made at the market, where local products such as fruits, vegetables, seafood, meat and household goods are sold. Continue to a rubber plantation for a demonstration of how rubber is produced and how charcoal is made from old rubber trees. Drive on rural roads and dirt trails through small Muslim villages, passing rice fields and oil palm plantations. After lunch at a local restaurant, drive to a mineral water spring in the forest and explore a cave complex, consisting of several caves at different levels and a large variety of rock formations. A final stop will be made at a temple with a pagoda on top of the mountain with superb views over the surrounding countryside. Transfer back to your hotel in Phuket.

Note:
Participants should bring along the following items: Non slip foot wear, sports shoes are OK, a change of foot wear, change of cloths, swim wear, towel, sun protection or rain coat, as weather can be changeable, torch light, personal first aid kit. A bag or pack is advised, suitcases are not practical.
